From African traditions comes an exciting program that immerses the audience in rhythm. In African society, music is an indispensable element in social and religious rites. These percussion workshops enable participants of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to experience the pulsating rhythms and instruments of Africa for themselves! (2 performers)

World renowned Balkan musicians bring the atmosphere of a village wedding into your school. Hairy Bagpipes', the loud 'Zurna', Drums and Saxophone combine to make up the beautifully powerful Gypsy songs.

“The French Connection” brings France alive in your classroom! This 50 minute interactive presentation starts with a tour of the French exploration of Tasmania in the 1700’s. Students will then be transported to modern day France with an introduction to the French cuisine, music, culture and arts.

Enjoy the festival spirit of Japan with Matsuriki! Highly skilled in the traditional Japanese Taiko drums, the complex rhythms and precise movements will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole show. Have a go on the powerful drums yourself!
