Spain - Salero Flamenco

Overflowing with passion, what better way to express authentic Spanish heritage and culture than the Flamenco dance? Learn the folkloric traditions of the Sevianus dance, the use of castanets, Spanish guitar and ‘palmas’ clapping.

This incursion includes traditional Spanish Flamenco dancing, an explanation of the history and culture.  Students learn basic techniques and steps of the dance including simple clapping rhythms using the body percussion, castanates, and footwork. Performer wears traditional costumes dancing to traditional music of Spain.
